Trim lines and collapse repeated spaces.
The cleaner trims whitespace at the beginning and end of each line. It collapses consecutive whitespace within a line, including tabs, to a single ordinary space and removes whitespace at the edges of the whole text. Interior line breaks and blank lines remain.

Limitations and details
This changes indentation and tab alignment, so it is unsuitable when source-code indentation or fixed-width text layout must be preserved.
